With every level of Reiki, you receive a Reiki attunement (initiation).

This process naturally stimulates a cleansing within your physical, mental, emotional and energy bodies as needed in order to support you in holding a higher frequency of energy in your system when you channel Reiki.

Most people I have taught at Level One experience mild symptoms, if any, however, here are some typical symptoms in those that experience them and here are some to give you an idea:

Physical Symptoms such as urinating frequently or frequent bowel movements, skin rashes, thirst and tiredness are common.

It is rare but possible to experience pain in areas where your energy is blocked or you already have physical issues.

You may feel inclined to sleep a lot and may be aware of processing a lot of previously unprocessed material in your dreams.

Emotional Symptoms in the form of emotional release, such as tears or anger are possible, especially if you have a lot of pent-up emotion in your system.

For any detox symptoms that come up the way to work with them is by applying the teachings of Reiki and giving yourself a self-healing every day.

Reiki is not causing the symptoms, merely inviting them to come out of your system so that your system can operate at a higher frequency required for you to channel the Reiki energy.

In fact, learning Reiki will amplify any healing gifts that you already have and complement any modalities that you already work with AND this training is unique and although every level incorporates the teachings of my regular Reiki courses, we explore the whole Reiki system through a trauma-informed lens making it a far richer and deeper personal healing experience and better equipping you to support others in their healing journeys should you wish to do so.

Yes, the course is trauma-informed which means you will be held in a non-judgemental, compassionate healing space where your trauma history is understood and welcomed.

You will be learning the second level of a healing modality that can support you in your trauma recovery process.

Please note that the course is not a substitute for psychotherapy and you are recommended to seek the appropriate level of support for from a qualified healthcare practitioner.

You will need to both give and receive a Reiki healing to complete the training.

Please note that the course does not focus on your personal story and is not a form of group therapy. You will need to be able to resource and take care of yourself during the training.

If you feel you need more individual attention and would like to share more of your personal story, please book a one-to-one training rather than a group course.

Yes. If you prefer to learn on an individual basis or if you’re not able to make the group training dates, learning one-to-one with me is possible.
